Karma Train Returns to the Whisky A-Go-Go for Full “Stylus” LP Performance
Dave Lebental & Karma Train are set to return to the legendary Whisky A-Go-Go, bringing with them a special performance that puts the music front and center. The band will perform Lebental’s new LP “Stylus” live in its entirety, along with select cuts from 2024’s The Long Player — a night designed to let the songs stretch, breathe, and fully come alive onstage.
Known for turning tightly written studio tracks into expansive, jam-forward performances, Karma Train thrives in the live setting. Lebental’s piano-driven rock songs open up in concert, evolving into extended, energized arrangements that lean into feel, interplay, and spontaneity — the kind of performances the Whisky has hosted for decades.
Karma Train features an accomplished lineup: John “JT” Thomas (guitar/keys/vocals), best known for his work with Billy Sherwood of Yes; Gary Ferguson (drums), whose résumé includes John Hiatt, Eddie Money, and Etta James; Dan Boissy (saxophone), who has toured and recorded with Macy Gray, Pitbull, and Larry Carlton; and Mick Linden (bass/vocals) of Chumbawamba. Together, the band brings depth, muscle, and musical conversation to every song, transforming Lebental’s catalog into a powerful, performance-driven experience.
At the Whisky — a room built on risk, volume, and songs that mattered — “Stylus” finds its natural home.
