When my youngest son was 6 years old he contracted Osteomyelitis and had to be rushed to Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. It turns out that our excellent local hospitals do not treat children with serious illnesses; they refer them to Children's Hospital. The care these doctors and nurses provide children and their parents is beyond outstanding. They saved my son's life and I never forgot.
